Historically the Pavilion Pool gas been a favourite with local Salmon anglers for several years. It is a short beat but has accounted for a large number of Salmon over the years. Due to the nature of the banks this is best suited for spinning and bait tactics – the water is relatively slow moving and deep.
This pool is somewhat overlooked nowadays in favour of other easier beats to fish, however it remains popiular with the locals and never fails to deliver a fish or two.
Trout and Grayling fishing is pemitted here but is better from the opposite bank.
1) Although primarily a Salmon Spinning Beat members with the relevant permits and rod licences may fish for Salmon, Sea Trout, Brown Trout and Grayling.
Note: Salmon Anglers fishing Pavilion Pool and Vicarage must not walk from Swimming Pool Bridge carrying Salmon tackle.
2) No night fishing.
3) Standard Club rules apply

Keep to right hand side of car park and proceed around the back of the old Pavilion building. Follow the road bearing left and this will bring you into another car park (free parking). This is a small section of water which is rarely fished for Salmon due to the nature of the riverbank on the CADAC side of the river. Trout and Grayling anglers do however enjoy good sport here when fishing this area from the opposite bank as part of the Town Waters beat.
