Llyn Du

Salmon – Sea Trout – Grayling – Trout

Situated just outside the village of Cynwyd this beat is primarily a Salmon beat. The water here is slow moving and extremely deep – wading is impossible here due to the depth. Translated it means ‘The Black Pool’ and anyone fishing here will soon understand why.

Due to the nature of the pool it is best suited for bait and spinning tactics. This beat is not considered to be a prime stretch of water nowadays but has accounted for a great deal of Salmon over the years.
