Coed yr Allt

Salmon – Sea Trout –  Brown Trout – Grayling

This is the latest addition to the CADAC Beats portfolio and if ever there was a tale of two halves then this is it. The top of the Beat consists of deeper rocky pools with several riffles which are best suited to the spinning / bait angler. The bottom half renders itself perfect for the fly fisherman and consists of a narrow run leading to slower deeper gravel bottomed water. The Beat finishes at the Junction of the rivers Dee and Ceiriog.

Members may fish for Salmon, Sea Trout, Grayling and Brown Trout.

This Beat is single bank fishing

Night fishing for Sea Trout is allowed until 3am

Travelling on the A5 from the Llangollen direction – head for the McDonald’s roundabout which is the A483 / A5 intersection. Go straight across the roundabout signposted Halton and keep to the left until you come to an intersection directly opposite the entrance to Halton Farm. It is imperative that you do this in order that the other locks are not bypassed. Proceed along the track through the field until you come to a second gate – this gate has 3 locks on it and the CADAC lock is the Silver Viro Lock with the key slot in the base. Proceed through this gate locking it behind you and again please ensure that the other locks are not bypassed. Once through the gate follow the track until you see a shooting hut – follow the track to the right of this hut until you come to the car park as shown below. IMPORTANT – PAAS AND CADAC MEMBERS:
Several CADAC members are also members of PAAS and therefore have access to both PAAS and CADAC car parks. The two clubs have come to a mutual agreement in relation to parking.
When fishing PAAS water, members are required to use the PAAS car park only and when fishing CADAC water anglers must use the CADAC parking. If you’ve parked in the PAAS parking you must move your car to the CADAC parking prior to fishing CADAC water and vise versa. Please ensure that this rule is adhered to.
